The German Games Days from May 2 - 4 in Berlin unites the Quo Vadis, A MAZE. and many other high-quality games events. The fifth German Games Days offers a comprehensive three-day program of keynotes, workshops and panel discussions, and is an ideal opportunity for intensive exchange and networking.
Developer conference, forums and festivals
The event format is unique in Germany, and the combination of business forums, media policy panels and hands-on developer workshops has led it to become the largest and most diverse professional event in the German-speaking games industry. The centerpiece is the Quo Vadis Developer Conference, the largest German game developers conference with numerous seminars and lectures. This year will also see the Game Art Festival A MAZE. join the German Games Days for the first time.
In focus: New content, new technologies
The thematic focus is on current trends in the gaming industry with a view to new content, new technologies and distribution strategies. Amongst other things, successful developers and publishers will be presenting new business models and game concepts for 3D projects, social media and browser games. Renowned designers will be presenting game design for both online and offline games.
The German Games Days 2010 in review
About 1,500 visitors and 90 German and international speakers to 50 individual events in the bcc Berliner Congress Centre at Alexanderplatz from April 27 to 29 2010. While trends in computer games were being showcased at the Quo Vadis developer conference, open forums discussed the germane legal, political and social aspects. The climax, and a brilliant conclusion: the presentation of the German Computer Game prize (Deutschen Computerspielpreis) on April 29.
The German Game Days is the cross-industry communication and networking platform for German game developers and is hosted by Aruba Events. Initiator and promoter of the event is the Media Board Berlin-Brandenburg.
