More than 50 new sessions announced
Quo Vadis 2014 is only five weeks away. First sessions can be found here. This year’s conference presents more than 90 lectures, panel discussions and workshops by nearly 140 speakers about Business Development, Producing, Game Design, Tech, Communications, etc., all of which will be held in English.
Online Matchmaking has started
Launched in 2013, the Quo Vadis Business Matchmaking was a great success. Over 100 meetings have been arranged via the Online Matchmaking. All business ticket holders are receiving invitations to the Quo Vadis Business Matchmaking these days. Members can find, contact and arrange meetings with interesting conference participants. Public messages give you the opportunity to reach all the community members at once, for example, to exchange ideas on conference topics. Our Business Matchmaking is also available as an app for all standard smartphones.

“Max Payne” Developer Myllyrinne and Other Speakers Confirmed
Early Bird Ticket Promotion Ends February 15th
Matias Myllyrinne (Remedy Entertainment) will deliver a keynote speech on next-gen game development with all its challenges and risks. Moreover, Robert Tercek (Creative Visions Foundation), Bob Bates (formerly Zynga) and Guillaume de Fondaumiére (Quantic Dream) will address current development issues in their presentations. Early Bird Tickets will be available until 15 February at a rebate of 15 percent (25 percent for students). Quo Vadis is the core event of the INTERNATIONAL GAMES WEEK BERLIN 2014. Matias Myllyrinne is the CEO of Remedy Entertainment and will deliver a keynote speech at this year’s event. The Finnish studio is known for such titles as “Max Payne” and “Alan Wake”. The team is currently working on the XBOX ONE-exclusive next-gen title, “Quantum Break”. Another developer of premium games who has confirmed his participation is Guillaume de Fondaumiére. The co-CEO and Executive Producer at Quantic Dream is responsible for the blockbusters, “Heavy Rain” and “Beyond: Two Souls”. His Featured Talk on Thursday, 10 April, is entitled: “AAA Console Productions – A Pain Still Worth It?”
US industry veteran Robert Tercek is a noted speaker who has in the past appeared at the Mobile Games Forum in London and the Game Developer Conference Mobile Symposium. The latter is an event initiated by Tercek himself, spurred by his particular enthusiasm for mobile content. Like Robert Tercek, Bob Bates will hold a Featured Talk. Bates is highly regarded in the games industry as an excellent storyteller. Now working as an independent writer and producer, Bob Bates can look back on a prolific career – including a position as Chief Creative Director at Zynga.
First Speakers Confirmed and Call for Participation Extended
The first confirmed speakers at this year’s Quo Vadis conference are Chris Taylor (Wargaming.net), Guido Henkel (G3 Studios) and Don Daglow. The Call for Participation has been extended until January 26. Proposals for workshops, discussion rounds and presentations can be submitted here.
Chris Taylor is the creator of such real-time strategy and role-playing favorites as “Total Annihilation” and “Dungeon Siege”. In 2013, Taylor’s company Gas Powered Games was taken over by free-to-play giant, Wargaming.net. Guido Henkel is a game designer and fantasy author who has enjoyed great success
with role-playing games in the popular “The Dark Eye” universe. His latest endeavor saw him using Kickstarter to raise money for a new role-playing project. As lead developer, Don Daglow has been a driving force in various game projects including “Neverwinter Nights” and “Stronghold”. Outspoken and opinionated, Daglow is a welcome guest at game developer conferences.
